Prehistoric Park product reviews

99.9% of creatures that have ever lived on this planet are now extinct. Imagine if you could travel back in time and see them. And what if extinction didn't have to be forever? What if you could bring them back to the ultimate wildlife sanctuary...to Prehistoric Park?

Nigel Marven does just that as he travels back to prehistoric times to rescue some of the most magnificent creatures that have ever walked this Earth. Once rescued, they are given a new home in Prehistoric Park where they are looked after by a dedicated team of experts. How do you cope with two grumpy T rex teenagers and why is the woolly mammoth so ill? These and other problems are to challenge the Prehistoric Park team beyond anything they've ever experienced before in this brilliant six part series.

DVD Special Features:
    •  Interactive animal stats and facts
    •  Building the Impossible - the making of Prehistoric Park

Quite possibly the most stunning way to educate ANYONE about dinosaurs and their life... as best we can guess at it today. Nigel and the other cast were amazing, acting and reacting to the computer-generated animals as if they were really there, even to the point of grabbing virtual critters and flinching away from their bites!

With all six episodes spread over 2 DVDs, you are looking at around 5 hours of stunning scenery, amazing animals that look so real it's scary, and a seamless integration of high-end CGI graphics and real-life acting. It really does leave Jurrasic Park for dead, in terms of realism, AND in educational content.

Overall, this was by far the most amazing version of a 'documentary' show on extinct animals and reptiles I have ever come across. I highly recommend it to any dino fan, or any parent with kids interested in the now-fossilised critters. Well worth the price no matter how you look at it!

Product image for Last of the Summer Wine - Series 15 and 16The BBC's longest running comedy series, Last of the Summer Wine, follows the comic trials and tribulations of life for a group of retired friends.

Here we are again in the beautiful Yorkshire village of Holmfirth, where it's time to catch up with our three mischievous, merry men. Clegg is drinking far too much homebrew for his own good, Foggy, on the other hand, isn't full of beer, but brilliant new ideas, such as amazing new bicycle ... more...
