This Black Raspberry Vinaigrette is a super addition to your pantry items. The vinaigrette goes extremely well with green salads, when it is drizzled over chopped tomatoes, cucumber and red/green peppers. This vinaigrette brings a new level to a shrimp cocktail, exchange for the old seafood sauce and serve with lettuce and lemon wedges, just divine. It is also a wonderful addition to fish fillets which have been sauteed lightly in a little butter, just drizzle a little over the fish and finish with a small amount of lime juice.

The flavour is delicate but defined, the texture smooth and light. Being a product which is made in NZ gives it a big tick for me. The packaging is very chic but also cleared labelled so that you know exactly what you are getting. The price is a little high but in the end you will find it is worth it. You don't use a large amount so it will last quite a while. I don't think I will be using any other brand of vinaigrette now, this is just too nice. I won this product in the Christmas competition and will now be purchasing it in the future. I will also be highly recommending it to my friends.

I was lucky enough to win some of this vinaigrette and I decided to pop it in with my holiday packing, hoping it would get some use at the bach over the holidays. Oh my goodness - I don't know why I wasn't more excited about this - it was amazing!

Firstly we just had it available to drizzle over our green salads - everyone who tried it loved it, and everyone wanted to buy some for themselves! I didn't used to be into experimenting with a wide variety of foods and there was a time when I wouldn't have dreamed of putting a fruit mixture onto a savoury dish... but if I wasn't already converted, then this dressing sure did the trick for me!

At the beach we didn't get much chance to experiment using it in different ways, but I did notice that if it seeped over to our other foods, it always seemed to work quite nicely - it was particularly nice on the brown rice salad and the couscous salad. My sister liked that it was gluten free so she could enjoy it too. It mentions being able to use it for stirfry and this is something I'll try down the track, but for now am just loving it on all these summer salads.

We did notice that it needed a bit of a shake just before pouring each time, as otherwise we tended to get just oil tip out and not much flavour but that wasn't a biggie. And on a side note - I love that it can be stored in the pantry as my fridge is always overflowing with dressings.

I'm definitely buying this when my bottle runs out and there might be a few family members that I will be sourcing this for next Christmas.

Never have been much of a berry fan really... though recently I have stared to adjust to SOME berries... and this is one that I now adore - at least, in this form. First, for the uninitiated, Black Raspberries are NOT the same as the common "raspberries" you all think of when you hear the word. These ARE different berries, and they have a power all their own.

Brewed with love and a pinch of magic, they are mixed with other ingredients to become this amazing elixir - full of rich flavours and fragrances, there is nothing bitter about this.

Some examples of use we found:
    •  Poured directly onto a summer salad of rocket, shaved carrot, iceberg lettuce, shaved onion, pine nuts and broccoli florets.
    •  Drizzled over a freshly cooked tuna and cheese pasta bake.
    •  Mixed with some mayo, a dash of mild English mustard, a teaspoon of freshly crushed garlic, to make an amazing dressing and dip.
    •  Dripped lightly over sliced banana and French vanilla ice-cream. (Yes, surprised me too!)
    •  Used to marinade some steak and chicken drumsticks prior to BBQ grilling.

I dare say we didn't even scratch the surface of what is possible... and any 'experimentalist' will undoubtedly find this a rewarding ingredient to play with... but for the basic home use, this alone is a dip or dressing that you simply can't beat. Every pantry should have a bottle or three.

Overal, 'nuff said really... Yes, you should get some. Honestly, you'll wonder how you managed without it.

Product reviews for listing 8757: Pa Hill Lemon Honey
Produced by Pa Hill Produce

Product image for Pa Hill Lemon HoneyAn original recipe consisting of lemonade, lemon pulp, sugar and thickend with tapioca starch.

All of our jams are taken from recipe books dated back early 1900s. You can't beat Grandma's original recipes and methods but we do try to cut out as much sugar as possible but its hard to get to setting point so unfortunately its back to the way Grandma made it. Naturally it's full of fruit sugar and no other additives.

Warning. This product may contain peanut residue.
