We love Mega Bloks in our house. We have a set that we bought when my eldest girl turned one year old. She enjoyed sucking on the hard plastic shapes and using them in imaginative play. Often we found that she didn't build much with them. However, she loved for us to build up a tower and for her to undo the tower block by block. Later, she used them to build her own towers or homes for her various dinosaurs or farm animals.

My newest baby is now a year old and she loves Mega Bloks too. She will happily sit with one, two or three pieces and push them together. She likes to feel the forms take shape and re-make and re-make. She will sit happily for 30 minutes making little things. She will also use one as a bowl and pretend to eat something out of it with a toy spoon. Another game she loves is to pull them all out and then put them all back into their container.

And her older sister? She still loves Mega Bloks too. Even though she is a little old for them, she still gets a great deal of use and fun out of her old Mega Bloks. Her favourite thing is to build up a huge zoo with all the animals and food. I think for our family, they have been a huge hit. They have lasted us 6 years and counting and they look as good as the day they came out of the packet. They are versatile and offer lots of imaginative play options, plus they are safe for the girls to play with together.

I love Mega Bloks. When my girls were younger we had so many that storage was a problem. As they have not outgrown them my nephew is enjoying them. That is quite impressive considering most of ours were second hand and were used most days by my carekids. These blocks are built to last.

The Mainly Music group I attend has Mega Bloks as the only toys for the kids. Children from wee babies right through to primary school enjoy playing with them. Parents know that they are safe with no chocking hazards or sharp edges. With so many kids slobbering on these blocks it is great to know they can be easily washed. One of the helpers at music regularly takes them home and soaks them in a bath of disinfectant.

These Bloks are great for teaching the children colours, fine motor skills, maths concepts like height and when you have a group of kids social skills come into play too. It is something parents enjoy playing with too so the conversations can help develop their language too. I know when the Mega Bloks are out my husband can't resist joining in.

When people ask me what to buy a toddler for birthdays or Christmas I always suggest Mega Bloks as a toy they will get good mileage from.

Mega Bloks are such a fantastic resource or toy for children, the blocks are so versatile and the only limitation is your imagination! The vibrant colours are very visually appealing so learning about colours is easy and fun....with different sized blocks maths and measurement is another fun way to learn (small block, medium block, large block, tall block etc), classifying the blocks ~ grouping the red blocks together, then the blue, then the green etc...again only limited by your imagination!

I personally love Mega Bloks and have a fairly large collection of them at home, all purchased second hand and they have stood the test of time as they have been used in many a childcare centre and have survived being played with each and every day and all day long. The children love stacking the blocks up as high as they can reach and love knocking them over so they crash on the floor only to stack them up again. The blocks are easy to manipulate for little hands and the children can easily piece the blocks together without difficulty.

The blocks are big enough that parents or caregivers don't have to worry about choking hazards so the blocks are suitable for all ages, but the blocks are not only for children because I like to sit down as well and make towers, farm yards, castles etc from the blocks...it's a great way to pass the time on a rainy day when you are stuck inside with the kids!

Being able to buy the blocks from all good retail stores makes them the ideal toy to buy for any occasion, whether it be for a birthday present, a christmas present or just because your child likes to build things, Mega Bloks are a great choice, yes the retail price is a bit pricey but they will last for years to come and last through many a childhood. You can purchase blocks for boys, blocks for girls, or just a general pack...so basically you can't go wrong when buying a pack of Mega Bloks, they are good value.

We had these as kids, not much of it, but we still had fun with it. My kids have a 60L box of these blocks and love them, building towers so tall, cars, zoos and much more.

They are so easy for little hands to stick on top of each other and build, little ones can't swallow it and if they happen to chew its not going to hurt the blocks, they are washable. bright colourful pieces and with more and more sets coming out, so much to chose from, children can make their own imaginations come to life.

They are great for boys and girls, yup they have a girls set and boys set out too, but little kids don't actually care they will play with either. I like to play with my kids building towers who can make them bigger, I win normally as I get a decent base done first, but they are learning quick.

If you want a awesome lego that will last for ages then mega bloks are it, just great for little ones. Recommended for all, everyone should have these in their house. The prices of these packs vary so shop around.
