I learnt about Tutu Kachu on Facebook and soon realized that it is actually someone who I went to school with business. For my daughter's last birthday she chose to have a Peppa Pig theme, and a big part of what Peppa Pig loves to do is dance.

I hunted high and low for someone to make me some little ribbon wands that would be the perfect size for a group of children aged between 1 and 2 years old. When I went to the Tutu Kachu Facebook page I saw that they were able to make these dancing ribbon wands in any colour and style you wanted, I thought this would be perfect I could get some pink and purple Peppa wands made, and some green and blue George wands made for the boys. However after having organised this and for the wands to have matching character ribbon on them it came to the week before the party and my order had sadly been forgot. None the less the owner of Tutu Kachu was very apologetic and told me that she hadn't got any Peppa or George ribbons in stock but she was more than happy to create the wands for me in colours of my choice which I was happy to have done, the kids would be none the wiser after all, due to the mix up I also was given a small discount which was a lovely gesture.

The mini ribbon wands were very well made and had no small pieces that looked as though they were going to fall apart. They are made from a small wooden handle (which looks to be a piece of dowelling) with a gold hoop screw attached with a coloured bell that the ribbons are then knotted on to, the fabric is cut in such a way that it doesn't look like it will fray, so very well made. Like most ribbon wands it does get tangled every now and then but it is really easy to untangle.

Beautiful quality ribbon wands, though a lot bit costly, but do make a cute party favor if you can get them on a special deal.

When I opened up my KIWIreviews parcel and saw this Tutu Kachu blue mini ribbon wand among my items I was pretty excited, I thought my daughter would absolutely love it. I called her over and showed it to her and initially she was pretty happy and wanted to play with it straight away and do some "exercise" with it. I took some photos of her enjoying it and then we had dinner. After dinner she didn't really care for it much and preferred another ribbon wand which was pink, she's pretty obsessed with pink and purple so that's probably why but luckily her little brother picked up the blue one and started trying to copy her so all in all both kids are happy and there will be less fights in our house over ribbon so it's a win win situation here!

The mini ribbon wand I received is very well made with a plain wooden handle and a gold metal screw type thing and bell holding a ribbon knotted onto it. It seems sturdy enough and the ribbon is a beautiful blue colour with two strips of ribbon at a generous length. It does get knotted up a bit while twirling around but I think most ribbon wands like this do so it's no big deal.

For this price I personally wouldn't buy this one especially since there are much cuter designs for the same price but I did have a look at the Facebook page and saw they had a sale last Christmas with these particular plain mini ribbons for $2.25 which seems reasonable for what it is and I'd be happy enough to pay that.

I was given Tutu Kachu's Dancing Ribbon Wand with characters from Frozen on it to review. I have four of their rainbow ribbon wands that I purchased about three years ago so I am able to talk about the durability of the wands from experience. There are several differences between my old wands and the new one. All of these changes are the better. The ribbon is now shorter so that the young children don't trip on each other's wands when they are dancing and they don't get tangled as easily. The stick is also shortened which is better for little hands. There is also the addition of a tiny bell which adds another element of fun and the children love it.

My old rainbow wands have stood the test of time. They are very popular with all the children I have in home based care and my own daughters who are now 5 and 6 years old. The only damage that has happened to them is that the ribbon the was around the stick has come off on all of them but they still remain functional and just as popular as when I first got them.

The new Frozen wand has been tested by children ranging from to 6 years. They have all loved it although it is very difficult to take a good photo when they are dancing around. As with the older ribbons this had a swivel attaching the ribbon to the stick. This worked really well at preventing tangles. Along with the Frozen ribbon there were two other ribbons of a solid colour that matched the colours in the Frozen ribbon beautifully. The ends had been heat sealed to prevent fraying. It is a quality product.

At $5.99 each they would make great party favours or stocking fillers. I am sure the children receiving it will be very happy with the gift and enjoy many hours playing with it.

My daughter is definitely a Prima Donna Ballerina. She has been attending a studio in town since the age of two and is now three. She loved it so much that she was attending two classes a week for most of last year and even got asked to be a 'major player' for the end of year Frozen Production.

Part of the Freedome Dance studio includes the Fairy closet where your find all kind of magical items like wings, hoops, tiaras and of course the ribbons. My daughter loves playing with the ribbons - making loops, over her head, by her toes - you name it the class does it. One of the mothers mentioned you could get the ribbons cheapily from E-Bay so I quickly purchased one and when it arrived the length was so long I cut it which quickly frayed and became a cats toy within a day.

I was wrapped to receive this as wanted something with quality that she can practice with when she feels inclined. The ribbon is definitely high quality and is very sturdy. It comes with a bell which my daughter is enjoying, especially when she wiggles it and it dings along. My only complaint is the stick is so small and its made of wood not special covering. I find she can't move it as freely as she would like as limited to the length of the wand.

Even when I had a play with it the ribbon just got twisted around the stick and could not move as freely as I would of liked. She says its fun but I can see she is getting fustrated with it tangling all the time. The ribbon is a great length its just the stick doesn't quite match up.

I was very lucky to get one of these amazing ribbon wands to review. Now, I must admit we have had a few ribbon wands in our house hold but they have either fallen apart in seconds or have had sharp bits on them not suitable for a toddler. I was very very impressed when I pulled it out of the packaging (after the toddler had yelled "no mum mine").

Nice and simplistic packaging where I could clearly see what I was getting. Once I managed to take it from the toddler and have a look I was highly impressed with the quality. The length of the wand was perfect for Miss 2's hand as it was just the perfect size for her to hold onto. I like the fact the wand isn't just a piece of wood, that it is actually covered in a ribbon very neatly. I love the fact the ribbons are tied onto a swivel as Miss 2 could swing it around and around with her without it tangling up and needed to be untwisted.

The colours are nice, bright and eye catching. Miss 2 LOVED the frozen ribbon and immediately started to sing "let it go, let it go". The ribbon length is great as it is long enough to watch it twirl and spin in the air, but also short enough that Miss 2 didn't trip over it while dancing. Love the added bonus of the bell, it makes it that much more magical :) Great work Tutu Kachu what an amazing product. I can see myself buying more of these as they would make great birthday presents and stocking stuffers!

With three girls I wasn't sure if just one of these beautiful Tutu Kachu Dancing Ribbon Wands would be enough in my house. I decided to make it clear that this Wand was for Miss Four and the big sisters weren't to try to claim it. They oohed and aahed over the Frozen ribbon for a while, as we are all about Frozen in our house at the moment, and that is really all they have been able to do as Miss Four has firmly claimed this and won't let it out of her sight.

We have had the wand for a week and a half now and Miss Four has spent many hours dancing with it but she also sleeps with it and rolls it up around her wrist in the car and puts it in her bag for creche. She absolutely loves it and they are needless to say inseparable. We have a couple of other ribbon wands in the house that the girls get out now and again for dancing but I think what distinguishes this Tutu Kachu wand from the others is that the stick is a perfect size for little hands and the ribbon length means that it doesn't get tangled up easily. Having one of the ribbon lengths decorated with a fantastic selection of Disney and other characters means that the wand actually has a bit of appeal on a commercial level. Despite my best efforts my girls do express an overwhelming desire for anything Disney princess like! I think the most unique aspect of the wand however is the little tinkle bell on it. It is absolutely perfect and adds an extra bit of charm when being waved around.

My Miss Four says "I really like it. Its good." I am impressed at the durability of it as it hasn't yet broken despite being taken everywhere by her. All in all I think these ribbon wands are absolutely perfect for any young girl and are fantastic value for money. A great gift that will hopefully be as cherished by its owner as ours is by Miss Four.

I was privileged to be given a Tutu Kachu wand to bring home and test out with not only myself, but also my 3 1/2 year old and 9 month old sons. We were given a green Tinkerbell ribbon, which my older son comment was 'this is very cool and pretty'. I love toys that can encourage children to express their inner self and we are quite often found dancing around the house. We will quite often find scarves that we can drag behind us, but these wands make dancing even more enjoyable.

At first glance I could see the hard work that had gone into making these safe. It was obvious that they were handmade, but handmade does not always mean good quality. Well I am happy to say that Tutu Kachu have definitely made these dancing wands with high quality. I was only expecting there to be one ribbon so was surprised when I opened it that it had three ribbons. I loved how it had a bell that added to dance effect.

My 3 1/2 year old and myself found ourselves dancing around the lounge, coming up with different dance moves that made the ribbons flow. The only thing that we noticed was that the gold ribbon was quite a bit stiffer than the others so it didn't seem to flow with the other two. Also if the gold ribbon was scrunched up it didn't straighten out very well.

I could see my 9 month old following the ribbons as we danced so thought I would try eye tracking with him. This is teacher talk but is a vital skill that improves many aspects of their learning. I held on to two of the ribbons (so I didn't confuse him) and slowly moved the ribbon above him, making sure that his eyes were keeping up.

I would highly recommend these for kids (and adults) to play and dance with. They are top quality for a great price and will be keeping these in mind for birthday presents this year.
