Entourage The Movie product reviews

Movie star Vincent Chase is back, and so are his boys Eric, Turtle and Johnny! Vincent's also back in business with super-agent-turned-studio-head Ari Gold. Their relationships and ambitions may have changed but the bond between them remains strong as they navigate the capricious and often cutthroat world of Hollywood.

Show creator Doug Ellin, who writes and directs, reunites with the original cast as the award-winning hit HBO series finally hits the big screen.

I never actually watched the television series and always felt like I was missing out on something. So when the opportunity arose to see at least the movie I jumped at the chance to see it. I loosely knew what the show was about - Vincent Chase is a huge movie star and the programme is about him and his "entourage". I figured it was the sort of show you could easily pick up so did not matter that I had not seen previously.

It starts with a recap of sorts when Vincent Chase is interviewed on a show and discusses what he has been up to/done previously and also mentions his boys and how they all became a 'family unit'. So basically I felt pretty much caught up, anything missed in that montage of sorts is explained throughout the movie.

The movie itself was made extremely interesting by all of the cameos from all wakes of life, it is always cool watching a celebrity not afraid to make fun of him/herself. Liam Neeson, Jessica Alba, Mark Whalberg to name a few popped up throughout. I think if it was not for this I probably would of not of enjoyed as much as I did. The movie is basically four friends just mucking about and making a movie with girls adding drama in the background. You do not require a PhD to watch it. Its definitely watchable and holds your attention but nothing to write home about.

The acting and script are passable but in saying that I will not be rushing to watch again. It shows Hollywood in that typical light of woman scantily dressed willing to do anything for a guy with money and fame. There are the party scenes, the pool scenes with girls vertially wearing nothing and then you have the girlfiends and ex-girlfriends also hanging around. Really nice houses and cars and shows you how the other half live. Basically it was how I assume the television show was the only difference is Vincent Chase is also acting and producing a movie that manages to happen in the entireity of the 115 minutes.
