I have to be honest and begin this review by saying that I was a little reluctant to request this product as spicy things are usually a bit much for me, however, the shape of these "rolled and bold" flavoured corn chips had me intrigued. I decided just to give it a go, as I have been going out of my spice comfort zone a little bit lately thanks to KIWIreviews and the amazing products I've had the chance to review.

My first thought about this product is that the packet was quite small, certainly more of a single snack than the size of bag you could add to a platter when having friends around. I was, however, quite surprised when I tipped all of the corn chips out into a bowl and they almost overflowed out of it. There were a lot more in there than the size of the packet lead you to believe. The bag certainly had more product in it than it had air (which is different to most chip varieties!).

These rolled corn chips were quite appealing. The shape is very different to anything I have seen before, and they were a very very bright red colour. Upon trying them I soon realised that the red colouring comes off quite easily as my fingers didn't take long to turn red. For this reason, I wouldn't suggest eating them wearing something white or light coloured, and you wouldn't want fingers to go anywhere near your furniture. I also probably wouldn't want to put these on a sharing platter, particularly if the gathering is at my house as who knows where I would find red colouring!

As mentioned earlier, I am pretty tame when it comes to spice. I have tried a few lime and chilli flavoured products in the past but almost all have been too much on the hot spicy side for me. As I started to eat these I could feel the level of spice building straight away. They certainly were very bold flavoured chips and I wasn't sure how far through the packet I would get. However, I kept getting drawn back to having another one. The lime flavouring was quite tangy and I just wanted more. About half way through the chilli was starting to get a little much, so I grated some cheese on top and put them in the microwave to melt it. I am not a fan of sour cream, so often use melted cheese as a way to tone down spice in things like this. It worked and soon I had polished off the whole packet by myself! Definitely a product I enjoyed and one I hope to have again soon.

We love our corn chips and when my family saw these there was a mad rush to open and consume! Hubby, of course, won the fight and immediately opened them up and started munching. He asked me if I'd like one before he ate the rest (very kind of him) and my nagging daughters also managed to get one each to try.

These chips come in an attractive bag and the picture of the rolled corn chip on the front is indicative of the corn chips inside. My one chip was rolled up and from the look of it, was bursting with flavour. Once in my mouth, I could taste the spices and feel the heat rise. I could also taste the subtle lime flavour and found that this chip was the chip that 'keeps giving' as the spice gave a final 'kick' after I'd finished it! Both my girls loved these but were both quick to drink lots of water afterwards!

My husband, who virtually inhaled the pack said that he loved the texture and visually, they looked like they packed a punch, which they did! He said they were really, really tasty with a good strength of spiciness. Overall, he said the pack needed to be bigger! Rolled and Bold is definitely true and we'll definitely be buying these again.

These spicy Chile n lime taco-Litos are the yummiest spicy snacks I have tried. When I first opened the packet and looked at these taco like curled up chips I thought these are different. They look so much like chillies which is interesting, and also the best part. I was thinking they were going to be super-hot, but I was interested to see what they tasted like. The hit of lime lingers on the taste buds and the amazing crunch from the tortilla chips is divine. I love the spice and the burn on my tongue and mouth, and even though my mouth was burning I could not stop myself from going back for more as they are so yum.

On my first taste I was very much sold. They flavours are amazing and I love the hit of spicy goodness you get. I also love how the red flavouring gets left on your fingers and you have to lick it off, for another hit of yummy flavour. My partner tried them and he also thought these were the best things he had eaten. He loved the flavour and the hit you get. He also liked the look of a chilly and when reading the packet he noticed the Rolled n Bold on the packet and said it is definitely what it says.

I really like the packet, I think it is eye catching and stands out. The lime green against the black works well and the bright red picture of the rolled up taco-litos is exactly what you get when you open the packet. I feel the amount you get in this packet is ideal and I found I snacked on a few, and left them for half a day and snacked on them some more, and shared them with my partner and I still had some left for a third snack. For the price I think these are amazing and great value for money, I will be recommending these to friends and looking out for them to buy and I know my partner will be too.

I found myself quite taken by these... they are a new "twist" - though rolled - on the crispy corn chip. Take a regular, round corn chip, coat it in some seriously spicy but very tasty seasoning, roll it into a tube and cook it until it's crisp. Tah-dah... you now have an idea of what these are. Spicy sticks, with a kick.

I had planned on trying these with a dip, but to be honest I am not a great fan of sour cream or cream cheese alone, and anything I could use to make those into a dip would mess with the flavour of these. I did think about hummus, but in the end opted to just snack on them while I sat back on the couch and soaked up a good movie. This, for me at the time, was the best plan, and it went well. By the end of the pack my mouth was quite happily glowing with piquant heat, my fingertips were bright red from the seasoning, and I think my tongue had gone on strike, pack it's bags and gone swimming in an active volcanic caldera to cool off.

These would be great for a tequila-fuelled night of partying, as the chilli-&-lime flavour would complement that spirit perfectly. Of course, my days of antics like that are well behind me, and above my level of pay these days, but none the less, that would be a good combo. They would also be great at BBQ's to cater for those who have the inclination towards seriously spicy foods, leaving more of the regular snacks for everyone else.

As an adventurous meal option, you could, I think, crush some of these down and use them as a crunchy coating for some chicken, or sprinkle over a potato salad to give it a bit of extra kick. They may also go well in the topping of Mac'n'Cheese or even a cottage pie. Anywhere you would use breadcrumbs, you could use these and add some real zing to the dish.

I was not sure whether these were nachos, little tacos, or thick crisps because they were rolled up and from a distance looked very much like red pasta! Once I had a couple in my hand, however, I realised that they were definitely of the nacho family. They are very red and very crunchy and when you first put them in your mouth you get a blast of chilli, but once you have sucked them for a moment and the red has dispersed, you are left with a cute little crisp with a strong lime after-taste. Be warned - the red coating does come off and if you are not careful it will decorate your fingers, your sleeves, and anything else in the vicinity. So stay away from dry-clean-only light-coloured fabrics while you indulge. But is it worth the bother? Absolutely!

Having tried several, we decided to see what they would go with. I had a ripe avocado and some Innestyle Classic sauce, so we mashed these two items together (no measuring needed - we just mixed them till they looked right) and then added a dash of sesame oil and a shake of parmesan cheese. In under two minutes we had a cheat's guacamole which tasted pretty good to both of us. We tried some of the taco-litos dipped in the avocado mix. This was seriously delicious; I think even people who don't like their food too spicy would find this a great combination.

I next tried a few scattered on top of a chickpea and red onion salad (which had a light vinaigrette dressing). This was a really nice combination too but we found you need to scatter the taco-litos just before serving or they go soft, so probably the best way to do this is to put them on to individual plates after the salad is dished up. I put them into the salad bowl and that way we ended up with a few casualties.

Finally, I stood a couple tepee-style on top of poached eggs just before I served them. The red spices melted down over the egg as the heat rose, giving the effect of a miniature volcano. It all tasted good too - there was no other condiment needed for the eggs as the lime chilli effect was more than enough. Breakfast will never be the same again - when the chilli hit the still runny egg yolks, it caused a taste explosion second to none, attacking our vision and taste buds in one simultaneous assault. Think I might patent the recipe!
