The final chapter of the Fifty Shades of Grey saga begins with Christian and Ana getting married. I had envisioned something extremely lavish, which after watching the special features showed it really was - but the movie only shows glimpses of it and from those scenes it made it look very basic. It is a shame as they really could of invested some time and energy into the wedding and showed the families more and the decorations especially the table center pieces cause they looked incredible, even the lamp shades which were made in India could of had some extreme close ups, seriously the wedding truly gave that romantic feeling but, unfortunately the finished cut just did not show it. I actually found with most of the movie that they did not spend enough time showing the details off and instead hurried thru the movie and spent way too much time in the bedroom.

I was unsure what to expect from this movie as I never finished the book. I made it thru a third of the book and although I enjoyed it more than the previous two as had some actual action besides in the bedroom I could no longer handle the dribble that I had to read in order to find the parts worth reading so I put it down after the car chase and I never picked it up again. I can not say how true to the book this movie is and if it ends in the same way it is an extreme let down. I was finally getting into the movie and it just finished and I sat there for a couple of minutes wandering what the point of the whole thing was.

I am still dumb founded as to how this book could receive world wide acclaim and although the movies and the acting did improve as we got closer to the end, I can not really understand the point. Yes both Ana and Christian grew and both became more true to themselves but it did not require three books or three movies for the matter to get us to this point.

The soundtrack was great and the acting, although not always convincing definitely has improved and they acted more intimate than nervous strangers. I found the pacing really well and during the car chase and the abduction I became lost in the movie. The locations were beautiful and its always nice to see how the other half live, especially on their honeymoon. It was nice to see Christian surrounded by family and friends and finally relaxing and Ana became more surer of herself. There is of course a lot of the red room and well any other room material and thankfully a majority of it did not drag on.

One thing I did appreciate with this movie as this was more of a story to it and had a bit of suspense as to who the bad dude was. But I felt let down as information was found out but it was not discussed into detail and did not explain the reasoning behind the whole thing. I am kind of curious as to whether the book gives out more detail but I don't think enough to actually pick it up and read again. I am glad the series has come to an end and I can finally wrap it up in a bow now and forget about it.

If like me you are just curious as to what the whole hype about this book/movie is about than it is worth watching, that is if you have nothing better to do that night. But a word to the wise - don't view with your husband - as he will most likely ridicule the whole thing as he 'plays on his tablet'.
