Organ Attack product reviews

Organ ATTACK! blends medically accurate terminology with immature potty humor.

In the game, each player is dealt a set of organs. The players use immunity, affliction, and other tactical cards to protect themselves while inflicting disease & bodily harm on their opponents.
For example:
Give Gallbladder gallstones...
Afflict Thyroid with thyroiditis...
Subject Bowels to the wrath of a day-old burrito from a back-alley food cart...

The object of the game is to remove your opponents' organs using corresponding afflictions before they remove yours. The last person to still have at least one organ is the winner.

Note: May not be suitable for players who are sensitive about discussing medical conditions (for example, playing a "Cancer" card on an opponent).

A rare night out and kid free simply had me crashing the night at a friends house. She had been studying to be a St John's medic and this game had caught her eye, having a hubby who wasn't too interested but knowing I was into board games and card games, she pulled this one out and we spent a good two hours playing it. A few days later, I bought a copy for myself and found my kids enjoying it far more than I thought that they would. The premise is simple, be the last person with an organ, the challenge is working out the right cards to use, when to use them and to hope that your opponent doesn't have any medicine cards. The organ cards get dealt out evenly, which means that it isn't really set up for three players, but we just leave an organ or two out. All editions now also come with an expansion deck you can add to the game for more players or variety.

Each organ depicted, is done so cartoon style but they are all actual parts of the body, and the various afflictions are also fact based, so this game can be quite informative and educational as well. I have found that a variation in players doesn't majorly affect game play, and so I've had fun playing this one on one up to four other players. Whilst my kids don't all quite get the game yet, they all enjoy it enough to want to grab it off the shelf and have a game or two with me, even my youngest who often ends up being on my team instead of on her own. Do be warned, though, that as it is all factual, some people may not be able to enjoy a game that has you inflicting various illnesses on your fellow players. However, if that doesn't phase you, give Organ Attack a try today.

But be sure to figure out which way they are pointing you. Remember, it depends on that officer's point of view.

All players get the directions at the same time. The winner is the first to call out the right sign!
