My family and I love the Tip Top Spicy fruit loaf and we probably buy it at least once a month (or more if it's on special) when we do our grocery shopping. As soon as you look at the packaging you can see the mouthwatering fruit and spices that are scattered generously throughout the bread. The slices are lovely and thick, thicker than that of toast bread and make a fantastic treat. This bread is in fact so good that the problem with it being that there just isn't enough slices in the pack to last more than a day in my household, as my partner will happily eat 4 slices of this tasty treat in one go!

I love to have this toasted for breakfast, which especially goes down well on a cold winters day with lashings of hot melted butter, for an extra sweet treat I top it with either honey, strawberry jam or nutella. Miss 2 is a huge fan of this bread also, and eat's it bit by bit picking out all of the pieces of fruit and eating these first. It's a great bread to be available all year round and is the closest thing that I can find to hot cross buns which only come out at Easter, which are also a hit with the family.

Though this bread is great fresh or toasted I have also used it to make french toast which always turns out fantastic as due to the thick cuts of bread the inside stays nice and soft while the outside goes crispy and golden, the fruity combination goes great in French toast with maple syrup and bananas. It's also a fabulous bread to use for bread and butter pudding adding a special taste sensation rather than the usual style which I find to be a bit to bland!

With the taste and smell that fills the house when this bread is cooked I will definitely continue to buy this bread when ever I can afford to.

I love Tip Tops spicy fruit bread, but sadly it is to expensive to be a regular on my shopping list, but yummy enough to be bought at least once a month as a treat. Unfortunately noone else in my family likes it, which is also a bonus because it means more for me. And because noone else likes it, I can get the one loaf and pop it in freezer, just taking out the amount I need when I need.

Its jam packed full of fruit and peel with the perfecf blend of spices. Its a great slice to have for breakfast, a hot slice toasted and topped with lots of melted butter or with marj and jam. Its also great for creating desserts with. I have used it as the bread for bread and butter pudding, and topped with cream but its also great to line the dish you use when making creamy rice pudding. It goes really nice with the rice pudding and adds such delicious flavour.

The packaging is easy to recognise, open and read and you get a decent number of slices, just a bit of a shame about the price. If it was $1 - $2 cheaper I would buy it every week to be honest.

Oh my gosh this fruit bread when toasted is absolutely amazing and is a very special treat in my house. It is too expensive to buy all the time but when I do feel like a treat this is heaven. I enjoy toasting a couple of slices for my breakfast or as super snack if I am feeling a bit peckish after dinner. I love it straight out of the toaster (and yes I do stand there and snatch out the slices straight away!) with a hint of margarine melted into the bread....ah bliss!

I love the extra large sliced pieces because as they are toasted they crisp up on the outside of the slices and become nice and toasty but stay bready and doughy almost on the inside and when the margarine is added the fruit loaf just melts in my mouth. It's a hot cross bun but in sliced bread form, and unlike hot cross buns that are only for a limited time this fruit bread is available all the time...well when stocked at the supermarket that is.

The fruit bread is choc-full of sultanas and this is what adds to the gooey and doughy texture of the bread that makes it oh so yummy! The spices that are used are nice and don't overpower the taste of the bread at all and I like how I can taste the different rind of the citrus fruits but don't have to chew through chunks of rind like I have experiences in other fruit breads.

I think that Tip Top has got their fruit bread recipe just right and don't think they should change it at all, it is perfect the way it is and I sure do hope they keep it exactly as it is now. I would love to see it cheaper of course but always check to see when it is special and buy a couple of loaves to store in the freezer and only get out the slices I want to eat at the time. Even after a few weeks in the freezer the bread toasts up perfectly like the day I bought it from the supermarket!

I know I will continue to buy this fruit loaf....as long as Tip Top keeps making it I am sure I will continue to enjoy eating it. Not only has it become a treat food I would miss it if it was stopped being made.

My son was obsessed with hot cross buns over Easter time and was having them for breakfast every morning so when they started disappearing from the shelves I bought him this fruit toast and it has been as much of a hit as the buns.

It is pretty expensive at $4.49 a loaf but you can sometimes get it for about $3.69 on special and then I will buy a couple to put in the freezer. The loaf is quite small too so you would expect a bigger loaf for the price but it still lasts us a couple of days. During those couple of days it stays fresh but I only like to have it toasted because when it is not toasted it doesn't have that softness that hot cross buns or other breads have.

It is certainly crammed full of fruit and has the nice spicy taste of hot cross buns. You can always tell when someone has had some toast for breakfast as it fills the room with the smell of spices.
