Miss Seven and especially Miss Six love the EJ Spy School series and have been eagerly awaiting reading this book.

These are very simple, easy to read books that are perfect for the beginning reader. The stories are very basic and the print is large accompanied by black and white illustration's that fit in nicely with the text. The story is about EJ having an undercover mission where she needs to snorkel which ties in with her having a swimming lesson that she is very nervous about. She has a little dolphin friend who helps her to carry out her mission and by the end she is able to overcome her nerves for her swim lesson.

My Miss Six and Miss Three enjoyed listening to this story and Miss Six is able to read this herself which is really great. She definitely feels motivated to read these books and can see her own progress moving up from the readers she has in class.

This series is a great transition for children from early readers to chapter books and we all love that EJ is such a positive enthusiastic role model. We can't wait to read the next book in the series and find out what EJ gets up to next behind the Christmas tree.

My seven year old son and five year old daughter have been enjoying the EJ Spy School books and so this was a must, why stop a good thing?

Emma, as usual, switches between her regular everyday life with school and going to her super secret spy school. With a title of "Deep Water" and a picture with a dolphin and Emma Jacks swimming, the theme is easy enough to figure out for this book. Emma is getting butterflies in her tummy at the thought of having swimming lessons, but then ends up going to Spy School and having swimming lessons there, and thus the butterflies arise again.

Emma gets a dolphin friend to help her with her swimming but things go awry and Emma is once again scared of the deep water. What I like about the series though, is that it shoes that getting over your fear is good when it means not only are you braver and better but you can help those in need. On the back cover there is also a small picture of the badge that Emma gets, my kids would like to have cut it out, but being on a book that was quickly vetoed.

A fun series that we will continue to read.
